ENGLISH FOR OUR YOUNGEST STUDENTS!

Hi there!

This is an update to let you know what's happening in our Infant English classes!

- 3 year olds: We're learning lots of new stuff about animals - especially elephants. Did you know that Indian elephants have small ears and African elephants have big ears? Look!

- 4 year olds: We're getting to know more about the things we eat!  Do you know you have to have 5 pieces of fruit every day?  Food is fun!

- 5 year olds: We're finding out more about the weather with stories and fun songs! We all thought the wind was stronger than the sun, but we discovered the truth with this famous story. Watch it here!

Hallowe'en is nearly here!!!

OOOOOOOOOOooooooohhhhhh! Hallowe'en is this week and we're preparing for this special day with songs and activities in class.

Today, in the four-year-old class, we have been singing a special song called "Knock-knock, trick or treat". It's great fun and talks about some of the different characters we can see at hallowe'en. Listen to the song here:

HAPPY HALLOWE'EN!!

We're going on a bear hunt!

Michael Rosen tells us his great story about a family that is going to hunt a bear and all the obstacles they come across. The girls and boys of the 5 year old class think this story is really great fun and are learning the words. As soon as we can, we'll make a video of our own version!

What's going on in infant education English classes?

In the three-year-olds class we are currently working on animals, colours and numbers with the fantastic book Brown Bear What do you see? written by Bill Martin and illustrated by Eric Carle. The bright colours and big pictures are very popular with our youngest English students. Here you have the video to watch at home.

In the four-year-olds class we're working on another great book. The Very Hungry Caterpillar by the same author and illustrator as Brown Bear, is ideal for learning about the days of the week, different food and the evolution of the caterpillar. The four-year olds think it's wonderful! So here you have the video of this enchanting story. Enjoy!

In the five-year-olds class, we've decided it's time to find out the names of the things that surround us in class every day and the different classroom language we use in our day to day lives. Here is a fun video with some useful vocabulary.

In the four and five year old classes we're also working on our daily routines. Every morning we call the register (who is at school and who is at home), set the date (numbers, days and months) and check the weather. It's a fun and natural way of learning English!

See you soon!!!
