Emotions and feelings with GLAD MONSTER, SAD MONSTER

Glad Monster Sad Monster is a book about feelings with fun monster masks that children can try on and talk about times when they feel glad, sad, loving, worried, silly, angry and scared—just like the monsters! Each monster is a different color to represent specific emotions.

We have made our own masks after some days speaking about emotions.

Halloween bookmarks for year 3 book monsters!!

Reading becomes very important when you're in year 3, so extra importance was given to the fabulous bookmarks all the students in primary have made to commemorate Halloween. A great motivation for reading!! Boooooo!

Monster bingo in second grade!

To celebrate the proximity of Halloween, we've been playing Monster Bingo in the grade 2 classroom. Not only have we had loads of fun, but we've also learned the names of a lot of different shapes in English... and we've revised the colours!! Great fun!!

OUR BODY ... FIRST GRADERS

In first grade we are currently working on parts of the body and things we can do with our bodies (running, jumping, dancing...)

One of the songs we like to sing and dance to is this one Head and shoulders, knees and toes! We love it because it means we do a bit of exercise!!

Routines

One of the most important parts of our English class is the beginning where we talk about the date and the weather. It's a great opportunity to practise counting (at least up to 31!) and we get to dance the macarena with the names of the months!! It's great fun!

One of the songs we use in class is the days of the week by Matt's Dream English on youtube. We love dancing to it! You can watch it here:
